Tx500-1800DS

Manufacturer: Mimaki

Tx500-1800DS incorporated Mimaki's state-of-the-art technologies into the direct sublimation printer :

Increased the print speed on polyester for the textile and the soft signage market, and the running cost is reduced. Tx500-1800DS, the direct sublimation inkjet printer, satisfies the print speed and efficiency at a high level.

Application: Soft Signage, Flag, Interior Fabrics, Sports Apparel

TX500-1800 Series wide format textile printers

The Tx500-1800 Series are 72-inch wide high-speed printers for the fabric and textile industry. The DS (direct sublimation) model can print at speeds of up to 1615 SqFt/Hr for production printing onto pre-treated polyester fabrics. It features a degassing module that enables the printer to use 2 liter bottled inks instead of conventional degassed ink packs, reducing costs.

High Speed Printing

The Tx500-1800 dye sublimation inkjet printer can print at high speeds up to 1615 SqFt/Hr (150 SqM/h) for the DS model. The print heads are arranged in a staggered configuration, producing a larger print swath and enabling faster production speeds.

Print Direct-to-Fabric with Reactive Dye or Dye Sublimation Inks

Dye sublimation inks** yield vibrant colors and can print directly to pretreated polyester fabrics. Mimaki Sb300 sublimation dye inks can be used on the DS (direct sublimation) model.

**Requires a transfer process to set the pigments.

Variable Drop Printing Produces Smooth Images

The advantage of variable drop printing is most apparent when printing color gradations in light or pastel colors. In addition, variable drop printing delivers fine, high resolution prints that are less granular by jetting two different ink drop sizes at a time.

Mimaki Degassing Module for Lower Ink Costs

A degassing process is required for manufacturing conventional pouched ink. An embedded system – the Mimaki Degassing Module (MDM-20) – enables the printer to use 2 liter bottled inks instead of conventional degassed ink packs, reducing costs.

Uninterrupted Ink Supply System

Utilizing the UISS (Uninterrupted Ink Supply System) when one bottle is emptied, the printer automatically switches to the full container of the same color to deliver continuous imaging.
